University of Edinburgh — HYROX Gym

At the University of Edinburgh, sport and exercise are woven into campus life, with a dedicated performance environment that attracts students, staff and the wider Edinburgh community. Across the Pleasance Sports Complex, the University’s state-of-the-art gyms and the specialist CrossFit 1583 facility at Peffermill, members can access high-spec spaces for strength training, conditioning and functional fitness. Coaching is delivered by qualified staff who design structured workshops and small-group sessions to help you build strength, stamina and confidence under expert guidance. The atmosphere is focused yet welcoming, with people at many different levels training side by side, from beginners discovering barbell work to experienced athletes refining technique. Alongside performance-focused areas and lifting platforms, there are indoor training zones, studios and courts that support varied, year-round training whatever the weather. Being part of this community means training in a motivated, education-led setting, right in Scotland’s capital.
