Getting to Competitions

Elda does not yet host an official HYROX competition, but its central position in the Valencian Community makes it an excellent base to reach major race cities in Spain and beyond. Alicante is around 30 minutes by car, with frequent regional trains via Alicante-Terminal, giving access to HYROX events typically staged in large arenas in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia. By car, Madrid is roughly 4 hours away, Valencia about 2 hours, and Barcelona around 5 hours, following main highway routes. Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, about 30–40 minutes from Elda, offers direct flights to key HYROX hubs across Europe, including cities in France, Germany or Italy via well-connected hubs like Barcelona or Madrid. From Alicante and Valencia, high-speed or long-distance trains link easily to major Spanish HYROX hosts and to cross-border destinations such as southern France. This combination of regional rail, highways and nearby international air links makes planning both domestic and European HYROX race weekends straightforward for athletes based in Elda.
