Newcastle’s city centre is around 10 miles away, giving quick access by car or bus to rail links for HYROX competitions typically held in cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London. Manchester is roughly 140 miles from Stanley, about 2.5 to 3 hours by car or around 3 hours by train via Newcastle. Birmingham and London can be reached in about 3 to 4.5 hours by train from Newcastle, making a race weekend very manageable. For international HYROX events in nearby European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris or Hamburg, athletes can fly from Newcastle International Airport, around a 25-minute drive from Stanley, or connect via London for a wider choice of destinations.
