Hessle is well placed for travelling to official HYROX races held in major UK cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and London, which regularly feature on the season calendar. Manchester is roughly 110 miles away by road, around a two‑hour drive via the M62, or about two and a half to three hours by train with a change in Leeds. Birmingham is approximately 140 miles, reachable in around two and a half to three hours by car, or a similar time by rail with connections. London events can be accessed in around three hours by train from nearby Hull, or four to five hours by car, depending on traffic. For overseas HYROX competitions in nearby European countries, Hessle athletes can travel to Manchester Airport in about two hours by car or train for direct flights to cities such as Amsterdam or Paris, then continue by local rail links to race venues.
