HYROX Hamburg

Hamburg, GermanyNovember 26, 2022 - November 27, 2022

About the event

HYROX Hamburg is a cornerstone of the global HYROX circuit, as the movement's birthplace since the first event in 2018. Held on November 26, 2022, at the Hamburg Messe und Congress, this Saison 5 event welcomed over 2000 participants across various divisions, including 525 in HYROX Men, 234 in HYROX Women, and pro and doubles categories. It stood out with historic performances: Mikaela Norman set a new women's Pro world record in 1h05min45s on her debut, while Beatrice Ardelt and Tim Wenisch shattered the Mixed Doubles record. Several age-group records were also broken, like Miriam Von Roar's in 16-24. The electric atmosphere, boosted by key figures like co-founder Mo Forster, made this edition unforgettable, cementing Hamburg's status as the vibrant cradle of the discipline.

Hamburg, a dynamic port city, offers the perfect setting to extend your HYROX experience. Explore the historic Speicherstadt district, a UNESCO site with its red-brick warehouses along the canals, or stroll the Reeperbahn, famous for its lively nightlife and diverse shows. The port, Europe's second largest, invites memorable cruises to admire giant cranes and cargo ships. For culture, the Elbphilharmonie, an architectural masterpiece, hosts acoustically perfect concerts. For leisure, wander through Planten un Blomen, a lush park with Japanese gardens and light-up fountains. Participants will enjoy activities like cycling along the Elbe for active recovery. Culinary delights include Fischbrötchen, fresh fish sandwiches from the port, or Aalsuppe, traditional eel soup. Currywurst and hearty Labskaus sailor dish will recharge energies post-effort in bustling markets.
