For Paris at Grand Palais or Paris Expo, it's 450 km—4h30 by TGV from Lyon (1h TER to get there) or 5 hours by car via A6. Nice on the Côte d'Azur is reachable in 3h by TGV via Marseille or 4h30 by car via A7 (300 km). Toulouse, 450 km away, takes 4h30 by car via A7/A9 or a 1h low-cost flight from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport (20 min from Mions), followed by train.
