Wellington, often used as a travel hub for domestic and international connections, is about an eight-hour drive plus ferry, or a one-hour flight. For athletes keen to combine racing with international travel, Sydney and Melbourne in Australia are common HYROX hosts and are served by direct flights from Christchurch in about three to four hours.
