Santa Pola offers fast access to Spain’s main HYROX race hubs. The closest major host cities are Valencia and Barcelona, both regularly featured on the official HYROX calendar in Spain. Valencia lies roughly 180 kilometers north, reachable in about 2 hours 15 minutes by car via the AP-7, or around 3 hours by a combination of regional train from Alicante and onward connections. Barcelona sits further up the Mediterranean coast at about 550 kilometers, with a drive of roughly 5 and a half to 6 hours or a high-speed train from Alicante in around 4 and a half hours. Alicante Airport, only about 15 kilometers from Santa Pola, opens easy flight options to other European HYROX venues, including cities in nearby countries such as France or Italy. From Santa Pola, athletes can quickly connect by bus or taxi to Alicante, then continue by train, car hire or plane, making cross-border trips to additional HYROX competitions straightforward.
