Alicante, around 80 kilometers south and about 1 hour by car, provides additional transport options and connections to other Spanish host cities such as Barcelona or Madrid via high-speed rail and domestic flights. For international competitors, Alicante and Valencia airports open fast routes to HYROX events elsewhere in Spain and to major cities in France, Portugal or Italy, often within 1 to 3 hours of flight time. Driving to Barcelona for a race typically covers about 500 kilometers in roughly 5 to 6 hours, making road trips to northern Spain or southern France a realistic option. From Teulada, athletes can therefore plan flexible race schedules, combining nearby Spanish competitions with selected events in neighboring countries.
