Sydney, around 200 kilometres to the northeast, can be reached by car in about two and a half hours via the Hume Highway or in roughly three hours by direct train, giving easy access to large-scale HYROX events held in metropolitan venues. To the southwest, Canberra is approximately one hour by car, placing its competitions within simple day-trip distance for Goulburn athletes. From Sydney Airport, international flights connect to HYROX races in nearby countries such as New Zealand, where Auckland and other cities regularly stage events, usually reachable in around three hours by plane. This combination of straightforward road links, regional rail services and international air routes makes it practical for Goulburn athletes to chase official HYROX start lines across Australia and the wider region.
