Brisbane is the closest large hub, around 290 kilometres south by road, typically a three and a half to four hour drive, or a short flight from Hervey Bay Airport. From Brisbane, direct flights connect to Sydney and Melbourne, which regularly feature HYROX events and expanded race calendars. Travel to the Gold Coast is also straightforward by car or coach from Brisbane in about one hour, opening further options when events are scheduled there. For future cross border trips, international flights from Brisbane link easily to New Zealand cities such as Auckland and Wellington, generally within three to four hours, making it realistic to combine HYROX race weekends with short overseas breaks.
