The ATHX concept
ATHX tests distinct qualities instead of repeating one run-and-station loop. Its official 2026 format takes athletes through a Strength workout, an Endurance workout and a final MetCon X workout.
ATHX publishes seasonal workouts and movement standards. The details can change from one season to the next, so weights and exercises should be checked on the official site before training or entering.
The official 2026 event flow
The published timeline provides 30 minutes to warm up, 20 minutes for Strength, 10 minutes to refuel, 30 minutes for Endurance, 30 minutes to recover and 30 minutes for MetCon X. The official site describes the full journey as a 2.5-hour competition.
Official events offer three categories: LITE, for pairs only, then ATHX and PRO, for individuals or pairs. All three follow the same three-workout principle, while loads, distances and movement variants differ.
Official race or ATHX-format simulation
Only an event identified by ATHX through its official calendar should be described as an ATHX event. HyCoach therefore labels independent sessions organised by gyms as an ‘ATHX-format simulation’, not as an official ATHX race.
Before taking part, compare the event listing with the current official workouts and movement standards. That makes the organiser, rules and expected category unambiguous.
