About the event

HYROX Lyon brings the season to one of France’s most dynamic metropolitan hubs, with a first edition that feels designed to stand out on the circuit. Set just east of the city at Eurexpo, the event pairs a major competition venue with easy access to Lyon’s urban energy, making it attractive for both athletes and supporters. Lyon adds a distinctive backdrop thanks to its mix of historic architecture, riverside districts, and a strong sports culture. What makes this stop especially memorable is the combination of a high-capacity event site and a city known for its character, food scene, and walkable atmosphere, creating a race weekend that feels as much like a destination trip as a competition.

Plan your stay

Lyon offers a wide range of accommodation, from central hotels and apartment rentals to practical stays closer to Eurexpo and the eastern suburbs. Participants looking for convenience may prefer properties near transport links, while spectators who want a fuller city experience can stay in the center and reach the venue easily. The city’s size gives visitors flexibility: business hotels, boutique options, and short-term rentals are all common. Expect strong demand around major event dates, so early booking is the safest choice. Many travelers also appreciate choosing accommodation with breakfast, late check-in, or space for recovery and gear preparation, which can make race weekend logistics much smoother.
