How to Register for a HYROX Race in 2026: Step-by-Step Guide
Spots sell out fast for popular events (Paris, London, Berlin) — often within hours of opening. This guide gives you the steps, real pricing by currency, and an up-to-date list of races with spots still available.
Your HYROX Registration, Without Mistakes or Surprises
HYROX registration does not happen on hyrox.com but on a regional Vivenu portal: benelux.hyrox.com for France/Belgium/Netherlands, dach.hyrox.com for Germany/Austria/Switzerland, uk.hyrox.com for the United Kingdom, usa.hyrox.com for North America, and australia.hyrox.com for Oceania. Choosing the right portal is the first step.
Whether you're aiming for a first HYROX in Open or a Pro qualification, the process is identical: only the format (Solo, Doubles, Relay) and division (Open or Pro) change.
The 5 Steps to Register
1. Identify Your Vivenu Portal
HYROX sells its tickets via regional sub-domains powered by Vivenu. Europeans (FR/BE/NL/LUX): benelux.hyrox.com. Germany/Austria/Switzerland: dach.hyrox.com. UK: uk.hyrox.com. North America: usa.hyrox.com. Oceania: australia.hyrox.com. You can buy on any portal (useful when traveling), but prices are in the local currency.
2. Choose Your Event
Check the regional portal's ticket page or our event map. Consider the date, location, and preparation time you have (a minimum of 12-16 weeks is recommended for beginners).
3. Select Format and Division
Pick your format (Solo, Doubles, or Relay), then your division (Open or Pro). Open is accessible to everyone — the right call for a first HYROX. Pro uses heavier weights; it does not automatically give access to the Elite 15, which depends on a separate ranking over the last 365 days.
4. Checkout and Payment
Provide your details (date of birth for the age bracket, nationality, partners for Doubles/Relay if applicable). Pay online via Vivenu (card or bank transfer depending on the portal). You'll receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket as a PDF.
5. Pick Up Your Bib On-Site
The bib is not mailed to you: you collect it at the HYROX expo the day before or the morning of the race, on presentation of your ticket and an ID. For Doubles and Relay: every teammate must be present at check-in.
Why Vivenu? The HYROX Regional Portals
HYROX delegated its ticketing to Vivenu, a German specialist platform. Each region has its own sub-domain and currency: that's why the price for the same event slightly varies depending on the purchase portal.
benelux.hyrox.com
France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg. Currency: EUR. Covers Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam.
dach.hyrox.com
Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Currency: EUR (CHF for Zurich). Covers Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Vienna, Zurich.

Tips to Nail Your Registration
Prepare Before the Opening
Vivenu account created, card ready, format and division decided, partners confirmed (for Doubles/Relay). On opening day, all you have to do is click.
Doubles and Relay: One Captain Registers the Whole Team
On most Vivenu portals, one team member completes the payment and then enters the partners' details (first name, last name, email, date of birth). Coordinate beforehand. Some events offer an 'individual registration with later pairing' option — check the event page.
Choose a Strategic Time Slot
On big events (1500+ athletes), avoid the very first and very last time slots. Mid-morning slots usually offer the best atmosphere and conditions (less slippery floor, well-trained refereeing).
12-16 Weeks Minimum of Preparation
Don't register for a HYROX 4 weeks away if you don't already run 8 km. Plan 12-16 weeks of structured preparation for a first HYROX, 8-12 if you're already in good shape.
Haven't Picked Your Event Yet?
Three criteria to decide:
- •Geographic proximity (travel stress adds to race stress — for a first race, stay close to home).
- •Time of year (autumn/winter race = summer training; spring race = winter prep).
- •Event size (large events like Paris or Berlin are electric but intimidating; mid-sized events are often more welcoming for beginners).
Filter by region, date, and registration status.

FAQ — HYROX Registration
Can I cancel or transfer my registration?
Direct refund usually isn't possible once registration is confirmed, but Vivenu often allows transferring or reselling the ticket to another athlete via a dedicated platform. Conditions vary by event: check the event page on the regional portal. Some events also offer optional cancellation insurance at checkout.
What exactly is Vivenu?
Vivenu is the ticketing platform that handles HYROX ticket sales worldwide. HYROX SE delegates ticketing to Vivenu through regional sub-domains (benelux.hyrox.com, dach.hyrox.com, etc.). You buy from Vivenu, but the account you create is shared with your HYROX athlete profile.
When do I receive my bib?
Not by email or mail. The bib is handed out on-site at the HYROX expo, which opens the day before (often Friday) or the morning of the race. You collect it on presentation of your ticket PDF and an ID. For Doubles and Relay, all teammates must be present at check-in.
When do registrations open for a new race?
Openings are announced 6 to 9 months before the race on hyrox.com and the regional Instagram accounts (@hyroxfrance, @hyrox.uk, etc.). Early Bird for popular events (Paris, London, Berlin) sells out in hours. Turn on notifications for the regional Instagram account so you don't miss the opening.
Can I change format or division after registering?
Changing division (Open ↔ Pro) is generally possible up to about 4-6 weeks before the event, sometimes for a fee. Changing format (Solo ↔ Doubles/Relay) is more complex because it involves adding or removing teammates. Contact the regional Vivenu portal support for the details.
How do I find a Doubles partner or a Relay team of 4?
Facebook groups 'HYROX [city]', the Instagram accounts of HYROX partner gyms, and our HYROX gym directory are the best sources. You can also register Solo for your first race and try team format afterwards.
