Ely is connected by rail through Ely station on Station Road, with direct services linking the city to Cambridge, London, King’s Cross, Peterborough, Norwich and other regional destinations. The station is close to the city centre and has a station car park with more than 130 spaces. By road, the main approaches are the A10 and A142, which connect Ely with Cambridge, Newmarket, Huntingdon and the surrounding Fenland area. City-centre parking includes Barton Road, Forehill and Ship Lane car parks, with free all-day parking available after 8:30am.
