Central areas place visitors close to the old town, the Tour de l’Horloge, Saint-Germain Abbey, shops and restaurants. Auxerre is connected by road through the A6 motorway between Paris and Lyon, the D606, the N77 from Troyes, the N151 from Clamecy and Nevers, and the D965 from Gien and Cosne-sur-Loire. Regional TER Bourgogne-Franche-Comté trains serve Auxerre-Saint-Gervais on Rue Paul-Doumer, with direct or connecting services toward Paris, Dijon, Laroche-Migennes, Avallon, Clamecy and Corbigny. Paris rail connections take about 1 hour 45 minutes. Auxerre-Branches Airport serves the city, while Paris-Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports are approximately 160 km and 198 km away. City parking includes Parc Roscoff behind the marina, as well as central facilities at Place des Cordeliers, Quai de la République, Saint-Pierre, Vauban and Porte de Paris. Local buses, taxis and pedestrian routes connect the station, centre and surrounding districts.
