Wanneroo Road, Gnangara Road, Hepburn Avenue, Prindiville Drive and Hartman Drive provide road access to the suburb and its commercial areas. Transperth bus routes serving Wangara include 389, 455, 467 and 468. Route 389 connects Wanneroo with Perth Busport, while routes 455 and 468 connect Wangara with Whitfords Station; route 467 also serves the Whitfords Station connection. The nearest rail access is through the Yanchep Line, with Whitfords, Joondalup and Edgewater stations providing connections to Perth and northern suburbs.
