Plan your stay

Shanghai offers a wide range of accommodation options, from international business hotels to boutique stays and serviced apartments. Visitors can choose between central districts for convenience, or areas with faster access to the event site and transport links. Athletes often benefit from staying somewhere quiet with reliable early-morning access, while spectators may prefer locations closer to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. In general, expect modern facilities, strong transport connectivity, and plenty of choice across different budgets. Because the city is large and busy, booking early is advisable, especially for anyone wanting a short commute and a smoother pre-race routine.

Race Info

The easiest way to reach the event is to plan your route in advance and allow extra time for traffic and station transfers. Shanghai has an extensive metro network, which is usually the most practical option for moving across the city efficiently, especially on event day. Taxis and ride-hailing services are also useful, particularly if you are carrying race gear or arriving with family and friends. Participants should aim to arrive early, check access details beforehand, and leave time for warm-up, registration, and any last-minute preparation. Spectators should also factor in crowd levels and entry procedures so the day feels relaxed rather than rushed.
