About the event

HYROX Hannover on January 26, 2019, marked the inaugural kickoff of season 1 in the HYROX circuit, hosting 651 athletes in the covered arena of Deutsche Messe AG. This pioneering event in Hannover, Germany, laid the foundation for the beloved hybrid format: 8 km of running alternated with 8 intense functional stations. The northern industrial city, with its vast, brightly lit halls featuring glass facades, provided an ideal setting for a winter competition, bathing efforts in exceptional natural light. What makes Hannover memorable is its record speed, fostering explosive performances as evidenced by the subsequent season's ultra-fast median times and cascading personal bests. Runners forged their legends here from the early days of the HYROX movement, in an electric atmosphere where every wall ball and sled push echoed as a founding resonance.
