Osaka is the nearest major choice by land, roughly 45–70 km away depending on the venue, about 45–90 minutes by train or car. Tokyo is much farther, around 360 km, usually about 2 to 2.5 hours by Shinkansen and longer by car. For cross-border travel, Hong Kong, Seoul and Singapore are all reachable by direct flight from Kansai International Airport or nearby airports, generally in about 3 to 7 hours of flight time, plus local transfers. From Ritto, train access to Kyoto and Osaka is straightforward, making Japan-based competitions the most practical.
